Why Your Donation Matters

The Facing Ourselves Project began in 2016 as a self-funded exploration of human interaction until the fall of 2018, when a small fundraiser was held to buy prints for the first outdoor exhibition in southern Italy. Seeing the impact that the exhibition had on the residents, Photographer/ Founder Patricia Houghton Clarke realized that respectful portraits of the people who make up all communities can help create more compassion and understanding, no matter the location. Your donation allows this work to continue. 


You can easily donate with your Paypal account (using credit cards, debit and your bank account) and the funds go directly to the Facing Ourselves project. You can make it a one-time donation in any amount or make it a reoccurring monthly donation. Please note: with a Paypal donation, you’re not able to claim a charitable tax-deduction but 100% of the donations contributes to funding the project.


The Lyndia Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, a registered 501(c)(3), can receive tax-deductible donations on behalf of Facing Ourselves Project.
